TURIBA UNIVERSITY XXVII INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE "Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation: Innovations, Opportunities, and Ethical Challenges" Year 2026
On March 18, 2026, Turiba University hosted the XXVII International Scientific Conference “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation: Innovations, Opportunities, and Ethical Challenges.” The conference was organized by the Faculty of Information Technologies.
The conference highlighted the importance of integrating digital technologies across various sectors, including business, education, tourism, and more. Participants explored the opportunities provided by artificial intelligence, the innovation potential of its applications across industries, as well as the associated risks, challenges, and ethical questions.
The conference served as a platform for scientists, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to exchange experiences, discuss the challenges of digital transformation, and develop new cooperation models for sustainable development.
The event also presented the annual Turiba Business Index research, providing a detailed overview of Latvia’s business environment from the perspective of companies of different sectors, regions, sizes, and ownership structures (both local and foreign). This monitoring study not only mapped the current situation but also, through dynamic analysis, helped to forecast future trends in the business environment.
The conference was organized with the support of the Erasmus+ project AI-ERIT. The project aimed to develop training materials for higher education staff (teachers, researchers, and administrative personnel) to help them ethically and effectively use AI solutions in their daily work.
