Frequently Asked Questions

1. What should be mentioned in the letter confirming English as the Medium of Instruction (MOI)?

The document should be issued on the school’s letterhead and include your full name and identification details, such as your date of birth or roll number.
Additionally, the document should include the signatory’s full name and position.

2. Can I come with my family?

The invitation for studies and the visa are prepared only for the student.

3. How can I apply?

Applications must be submitted online https://www.turiba.lv/en/admission/admission
Please ensure that all documents are clearly scanned.

4. What are the eligibility requirements?

Your most recent applicable education should have a minimum score of 60%.
A valid language certificate or a letter confirming English as the medium of instruction must be provided.
All relevant entrance or qualification tests must be passed.

5. What are the scholarship opportunities?

Scholarships are available for international bachelor’s students starting from the second year, as well as through the Latvian State Scholarship program.

Note that before applying for the Latvian State Scholarship, you must first be successfully admitted to Turība University.

6. Can I pay the first-year tuition fee in installments?

Full tuition payment and the required deposit must be credited before the visa or temporary residence permit process can be initiated.

7. How can I apply for Turība Youth Hostel?

Once you have received your visa and finalized your arrival details, you will need to submit a hostel application. The hostel team will then contact you with a confirmation.

9. Where is Turība University located?

We are located in Riga, the capital of Latvia. The university has excellent infrastructure for convenient travel, and there are shops and restaurants near the campus.
