VISA AND RESIDENCE PERMIT
Regulations on visas and residence permits for international students in Latvia vary depending on country of citizenship of the student.
A citizen of a member state of the European Union or the European Economic Area, and Switzerland may enter the Republic of Latvia without visa.
Citizens of EU/EEA have the right to reside in Latvia without a residence permit or visa. Nevertheless, they have to apply for a registration card in the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs in Latvia.
Citizens of Non-EU/EEA require a residence permit and visa to enter the Republic of Latvia if the stay in the Republic of Latvia will exceed 90 days within a 6-month period.
After you have been accepted for studies at Turība University, paid tuition fee for the first study year and a security deposit, the University will prepare the documentation needed for the application process for Temporary Residence Permit/visa.
