Zane Driņķe, the Rector of Turība University, elected as the Chair of the Board of the Association of Private Higher Education Institutions
On 12 November, Professor Zane Driņķe, the Rector of Turība University, was elected as the Chair of the Board of the Association of Private Higher Education Institutions. Together with Ilmārs Blumbergs, the Rector of the Riga Aeronautical Institute, and Oksana Lentjušenkova, the Rector of the EKA University of Applied Sciences, who were elected to the board, the work will continue on strengthening cooperation among private universities and developing high-quality higher education in Latvia.
The Association of Private Higher Education Institutions is an organization that unites accredited private higher education institutions in Latvia with the aim of representing their interests at both the national and international levels, and of promoting the development of high-quality and competitive education.
The association’s activities also include fostering strong collaboration between universities and employers, as well as providing a shared platform for exchanging experiences, supporting innovation, and sharing examples of good practice.
The Association of Private Higher Education Institutions acts as a representative body to promote the progress of the higher education system, support the international competitiveness of study programs, and strengthen Latvia’s image as a country offering accessible, innovative, and high-quality education.
