From April 21 to 23, 2026, the Head of the International Office of Turība University, Agnese Pilāne, participated in a high-level Latvian delegation led by the President of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs, during his official visit to Baku.

The visit marked an important milestone in strengthening bilateral relations between Latvia and Azerbaijan, with a strong focus on economic cooperation, innovation, and international partnerships. As part of the official program, the delegation attended the Latvia - Azerbaijan Business Forum, held on April 22, bringing together government representatives, entrepreneurs, and institutional leaders from both countries.

The forum was attended not only by President Edgars Rinkēvičs and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, but also by Latvia’s Ministers of Agriculture and Foreign Affairs, highlighting the broad governmental support for strengthening bilateral cooperation.

Participation in the delegation reflects Turība University’s active engagement in international cooperation and its commitment to fostering academic and industry partnerships beyond Latvia. Being present at such a high-level forum provided valuable opportunities to establish new contacts, explore collaboration prospects, and promote the university’s international profile.
