Turība University of Business Joins the European Alliance for Apprenticeships
In April 2025, Turība University joined the European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EAfA), a European Union-wide initiative aimed at promoting the development of quality apprenticeships and vocational education, as well as supporting a successful transition for students from education to the labor market.
The European Alliance for Apprenticeships brings together educational institutions, businesses, social partners, and policymakers from across Europe with the goal of improving skills in line with labor market trends. The main objectives of the Alliance’s members are to promote quality and effective apprenticeship opportunities for both young people and adults, strengthen cooperation between educational institutions and employers, increase youth employment opportunities, and support lifelong skills development.
Turība’s study process is closely aligned with the goals of the Alliance. The university places a strong emphasis on the development of practical skills throughout its professional bachelor’s and master’s study programs, focusing on competency development so that students can apply their knowledge in practical contexts and gain a deeper understanding of their chosen field.
Joining the European Alliance for Apprenticeships will provide opportunities to significantly enhance the quality and diversity of internships, as well as to develop new cooperation projects with European companies and universities.
