Turība basketball players win silver at the XXXI Latvian Universiade
Last week, from September 26 to 27, six teams of Latvian universities opened the XXXI Latvian Universiade. Basketball club "Turība University" won the 2nd place, giving way to the University of Latvia, but in the subgroup was able to beat Riga Stradiņš University, but in the semi-finals - units of the Latvian Academy of Sport Education (LSPA). Bronze medals were won by students of Riga Technical University, who managed to defeat LSPA unit.
Distribution of XXXI Latvian Universiade places for men:

3. Riga Technical University (coach: Dainis Bertāns)
4. Latvian Academy of Sport Education (coach: Jānis Rimbenieks)
5. Riga Stradiņš University (coach: Aivars Vīnbergs)
6. Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies
Aleksis Eduards Brālītis, a player of the Basketball Club "Turība University ", has also been recognized as one of the TOP 5 XXXI Latvian Universiade basketball players.
