On June 12, the second season of the School of Legal Excellence concluded at Turība University with two events, moreover, high school students also participated in the “School of Legal Excellence for High School Students”.

The School of Legal Excellence, which unites students of the Faculty of Law of Turība Univerisity, has completed its second year of operation, continuing to offer young people the opportunity to explore the world of jurisprudence and develop their professional and personal skills. The goal of the project is not only to introduce the field of legal science in depth, but also to create strong, thoughtful and responsible personalities - future leaders.

“Studies are no longer just sitting in classrooms. Studies are work and life, while still in the study process. It is in this environment and form that future professionals are formed,” emphasizes Ivo Krievs, the author of the idea of ​​the School of Legal Excellence and Dean of the Faculty of Law at Turība University.

Last academic year, young people improved their legal knowledge, practiced resolving legal disputes and participated in various practical classes that promote personal growth - public speaking, business etiquette, as well as other topics necessary for a modern lawyer.

In the second season, as part of the School of Legal Excellence project, future law students met once a month with one of the leading personalities in the hospitality industry in Latvia, Iveta Sprūdža, a lecturer at the Faculty of International Tourism at Turība University. Her experience includes managing prestigious hotels and acquiring international knowledge, reaching one of the peaks - she is the only private butler certificate holder and business etiquette expert in Latvia.

The season concluded on June 12 at the Turība Business Incubator, where the Training Law Office was officially opened, which will also be the home of the School of Legal Excellence. At the closing event, the participants and guests of the School of Legal Excellence project looked back on their achievements.

Simultaneously with the closing of the 2nd season of the School of Legal Excellence, more than 60 high school students from various Latvian schools visited Turība to participate in the summer event for high school students of the School of Legal Excellence. The young people had the opportunity to make sure, even before making a decision about studying law, whether this field is engaging and suitable, and to learn more about the specifics of this field and the everyday life of the profession, spending time in exciting activities, for instance, trying to “fool” a service dog, preparing procedural documents for an arrest or engaging in a crime investigation simulation.
