Students, who are willing to participate in the competition for study places in the double degree program, are invited to apply by March 10. Competition is announced for 19 study places in the double degree program for fsemester of the academic year 2021/2022.

The competition for 19 study vacancies in the double degree programme for the academic year 2021/2022 shall hereby be announced in accordance with bilateral agreements concluded between higher education institutions and the clause 2.5. of the Regulations on procedure for studies in the double degree and bilateral exchange programmes. Full time students of the 2nd study years of the professional bachelor’s study programme “Tourism and Hospitality Management”, “Business Administration”, “International Communication Management” and students of the 1st study years of the professional master’s study programme “Business Administration” and “Tourism Strategic Management” shall be eligible to participate in the competition providing that they:

• are studying “English for special purposes” in the highest level group;
• have no academic debts for the previous study period,
• have no outstanding financial obligations due towards Turiba,
• have an average mark not less than 7 for the previous study period,
• meet additional criteria set for the selection of students by the respective Faculties in accordance with the clause 2.4.3. of the Regulations on procedure for studies in double degree and bilateral exchange programmes.

The evaluation criteria for the competition shall be as follows:

• Average mark of the student during the previous study period;
• Foreign language mark of the student;
• Additional criteria set by the respective faculties.

The number of study places for the academic year 2021/2022 shall be divided among the respective programmes as follows:

• professional bachelor’s study programmes “Business Administration” - 3 study places for studies at La Rochelle Business School, 2 study places for studies at Cesine Business School, 2 place for studies at Lapland University of Applied Sciences;
• professional bachelor’s programmes “Tourism and Hospitality Management” - 2 study places for studies at Ming Chuan University, 3 study places for studies at La Rochelle Business School,
• professional bachelor’s study programmes “International Communication Management”- 1 study place for studies at Dogus University;
• professional master’s study programmes “Business Administration”- 1 study place for studies at La Rochelle Business School;
• professional master’s study programmes “Tourism Strategic Management”- 1 study place for studies at Y School, 1 study place for studies at Rey Juan Carlos University.

The deadline for submission of applications for the competition is the March 10, 2021. The applications are submitted electronically to exchange@turiba.lv. The application form is available HERE.

The results of the competition will be announced on March 12, 2021 on the webpage of the university www.turiba.lv.
