Participate in the international teachers’ survey on AI use

Six European partner universities from Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, Slovenia, Italy and Spain have launched an international survey on the use of Artificial Intelligence use in higher education. The survey is intended for academic, teaching staff and researchers.

Its aim is to collect insights on current AI usage, challenges, needs and institutional support to better understand how AI is shaping the teaching process.

Implementing such a survey is crucial, as the rapid development of AI has become a pressing issue for educators across all disciplines. Teachers are expected to adapt their methods, ensure academic integrity, support students in responsible AI use and navigate both opportunities and risks. Understanding real experiences and needs is essential to developing useful, practical resources and guidance.

The results will help develop evidence-based recommendations and practical resources to support responsible and effective AI integration in universities across Europe. We kindly invite teachers and academic staff to participate in the survey and contribute to this research. Completing the survey will take not more than 10 minutes.

Survey is implemented inf rame of ERAMSU+ EHEAII project. Over the three-year project period, the international team of experts will produce a comprehensive AI Usage Report, develop an interactive AI Maturity Test to help universities evaluate their readiness, and prepare guidelines for risk mitigation to ensure the responsible and ethical use of AI. In addition, the project will compile examples of best practices and practical teaching tasks that demonstrate how AI can support learning in fields such as business, communication, law, and information technology.

One of the project’s major outcomes will be the creation of a new online course for teachers, designed to help educators explore and apply AI tools in their classrooms.

Project is coordinated by Turiba University (Latvia), the project brings together a strong consortium of partners: the University of Maribor (Slovenia), the University of Genoa (Italy), the Fundació Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain), the SMK University of Applied Sciences (Lithuania), and Fachhochschule Aachen (Germany).

The EHEAII project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
