On Logistics Day, experts will discuss the compatibility of ports, road, and rail transport

On October 16th, from 10:00 to 12:15, Turība University will host Logistics Day “Students × Industry = Tomorrow’s Logistics” in the Silent Reading Room. The event will bring together representatives from logistics companies and future logistics specialists. During the event, new cooperation agreements with logistics companies will be signed, and an expert panel discussion on the compatibility of ports, road, and rail transport will take place.

The program includes presentations by several logistics companies covering current trends and challenges in the field, followed by a panel discussion titled “Resilient Supply Chains in the Baltics: Diversification, Multimodality, and Risks.” Experts will discuss topics such as the integration of “Rail Baltica,” port–road–rail compatibility, balancing costs and security, sanction implementation practices, and supplier diversification.

This will be the fifth annual Logistics Day and serves as an excellent opportunity for aspiring business logistics professionals to meet industry representatives in an informal setting, learn about current logistics issues, and hear entrepreneurs’ experiences.

Collaboration with leading logistics companies offers Turība’s business logistics management students a valuable practical insight into the industry’s challenges, allowing joint discussion of everyday problems within the course framework. Turība University has signed cooperation agreements with prominent logistics companies such as Baltic Logistic Solutions, Omniva, Miandum, BEWE RIX, Beweship, Scania Latvia, and MSC Shared Service Center Riga to integrate industry education with hands-on learning, develop solutions, and cultivate experienced professionals.

Turība offers a business logistics management study program designed based on Latvian and international labor market trends and the demand for logistics management specialists. The core curriculum combines business management with in-depth logistics knowledge, providing valuable education for aspiring or current logistics professionals and managers.

This unique business logistics management program not only equips students with practical logistics expertise but also develops management-level skills, opening broad career opportunities in logistics and business management. The program is tailored to meet employer demands and labor market trends.
