For the seventh year in a row, Turība ranks among the highest-rated universities by employers

For the seventh year in a row, Latvian employers have recognized Turība University as one of the three most highly rated universities, offering students the most relevant study programs for the work environment and industry, as well as being able to provide skills to successfully integrate into the labor market. The most highly rated study programs are bachelor's programs “Business Administration” and “Tourism and Hospitality Management”.

According to the employer ratings compiled by the career portal Prakse.lv, in 2025 Turība ranks third among Latvian universities, following Riga Technical University and the University of Latvia.

Of the programs offered by Turība University, the bachelor's program “Business Administration” has received the greatest recognition. The programs “Tourism and Hospitality Enterprise Management”, “International Marketing and Sales Management”, “Public Relations” and “Law” have also been highly rated.

Turība University places great emphasis on practical skills during the study process, ensuring 60% practical classes and only 40% theoretical learning. Every year in the second semester, students go on a mandatory internship, which can be done both in Latvia and abroad. The university's Career Center helps in finding an internship, but students can also find it independently.

During the internship, students often prove themselves in the eyes of employers and often receive an offer to become a permanent employee after the internship. Surveys show that almost 80% of Turība students already work in their chosen profession during their studies, successfully combining studies with work, thanks to flexible study forms.

Prakse.lv has been compiling employer recommendations for the 14th year, creating a list of the most recognized study programs and educational institutions. This top helps school graduates choose where to study the profession they are interested in. Its aim is to support young people in making informed decisions about their future education and career path during the summer, taking into account the needs of the labor market and the vision of employers. This year, 2710 employers expressed their opinions.
