Expand your horizons internationally during your studies

During your studies, while acquiring knowledge in your chosen professional field, students have various international opportunities to expand their horizons of knowledge and experience, get to know other countries, their culture and people, and even make friends all over the world who may become your business partners in the future.
This is possible by applying for one of the international cooperation, or, so called, exchange programs offered by Turība University. Different countries, opportunities and program durations – from a few months to a year.
The Erasmus+ program is the most popular student mobility program, which offers studies at universities in other European Union countries from three months to one year, receiving an Erasmus+ scholarship. Erasmus+ is not just a study process abroad for half a year or a year, it is one big adventure that broadens students' horizons and allows them to acquire skills that are essential in our globalized world to establish international connections. The most popular Erasmus+ destinations are Italy, Germany, Portugal, France and Spain.
Students can also apply for the Double degree program – this means that a student spends part of their study time at Turība University and part of their study time at one of the partner universities abroad in Finland, Spain or France, thus obtaining two diplomas during one study period. Students in the second year of the professional bachelor’s programme “Business Administration”, “Tourism and Hospitality Business Management”, “Event Production and Management” and “International Communication Management” can apply for the double diploma program. Students of the professional master’s program “Strategic Tourism Management” and “Business Administration” also have the opportunity to study abroad for one semester or one year and obtain diplomas from two universities.
Whereas, within the framework of the Bilateral exchange program, students have the opportunity to spend one semester at one of partner universities of Turība University around the world - in the USA, Ireland, Mexico, Moldova, Kazakhstan, China, Jamaica, Georgia, Paraguay, Brazil, Peru, Singapore, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Kosovo, Uzbekistan, India, South Korea,
While studying at Turība University, students can also participate in various international projects and summer schools or intensive courses, where students from both Latvia and foreign countries, such as Finland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Spain, Lithuania, Norway and Estonia, gather together.
Such summer schools are a great opportunity for students to gain new knowledge - the kind of knowledge that cannot be obtained during the usual study process at their own university. The programs in such courses are very intensive, focused and interdisciplinary. A great added value is that students visit various companies and organizations, meet and discuss with professionals - this gives students a completely new experience and perspective. Students also gain the experience of working and collaborating in intercultural groups, which is so valuable today.
