Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) "When East Meets West: A Holistic Journey of Mind, Body & Knowledge" has concluded

From June 29th to July 3rd 2026, the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) "When East Meets West: A Holistic Journey of Mind, Body & Knowledge" was held at Turība University in the Health Care department, in which 15 students from five partner universities in Lithuania and Poland participated. The programme combined online and face-to-face studies, promoting international cooperation and professional development of students.

During the week, students participated in lectures, practical classes and master classes, where they became acquainted with modern approaches to promoting health and well-being. The content of the program covered nervous system regulation, brain function improvement and neuroplasticity, principles of healthy nutrition and the role of spices in health, movement and body awareness, professional sustainability, as well as various massage techniques – maderotherapy, lymphatic drainage and bamboo massage. Students also developed creativity and awareness in a coffee painting master class, while a tour of Riga allowed them to get to know the culture, history and traditions of Latvia.

The main goal of the program was to strengthen the professional competencies of future beauty specialists, while promoting intercultural cooperation, knowledge exchange and personal growth. Practical classes, joint activities and work in international teams gave students the opportunity not only to acquire new knowledge and skills, but also to build friendships and professional contacts that will continue in the future.

The program ended with the presentation of certificates and a joint ceremonial closing event, celebrating a successfully completed international study week.

A heartfelt thank you to all students, lecturers, partner universities and guest lecturers for their contribution, positive energy and willingness to share knowledge. This week once again proved that Erasmus+ is much more than mobility – it is an opportunity to grow, be inspired and together build a stronger European academic and professional community.
