International projects

Turiba University is actively expanding its international cooperation, initiating, developing, and implementing various local, national, and international projects.

We believe that the development of the University is inconceivable without innovative initiatives, the creation of new teaching approaches and methods, and without international collaboration. To prepare high-quality new professionals, it is essential for our university to provide opportunities for learning in an international environment, meeting lecturers, and professionals from around the world. Therefore, we realize international projects in collaboration with universities and partners worldwide.

Through these projects, we have developed new and innovative educational resources and tools, published books, organized international conferences, exchange trips, study visits, summer schools, and other activities.

We have extensive experience in international project management and have been actively involved in coordinating projects such as Central Baltic Interreg, Erasmus Mundus, Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program, European Social fund, JUSTICE, NORDPLUS, and ERASMUS+ projects.

ERASMUS+ partnership project MISS4Health

At the beginning of 2024, Turiba University together with 5 other cooperation partners started implementing the MISS4Health project.

The objective of MISS4Health project is to improve competences in soft skills for healthcare professionals and students using a modular Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) based on micro-credentials at the EU level that certifies these competences. A year and a half ago, Turiba University concluded a project on soft skills called DSICOM. Within this project, together with 5 partner universities, we developed various learning materials and a mobile application that helps train and develop your soft skills - the ability to work in a team, resolve conflicts, plan your time, operate in an multicultural environment. Turibas experts will now transfer all this experience within the framework of this project to partners who want to develop these soft skills for future professionals in the health sector. This project will be very important for Turiba University, because from the beginning of 2024, the direction of health care studies will be opened at the university.

Within the framework of the project, soft skills are planned to be improved with the help of an online course (MOOC). It is planned to develop a course that will be offered to health sector students to obtain micro-credentials. The concept of micro-credentials first emerged around 2013 – often in the context of digital badges – and then became synonymous with certificates for completing massive open online courses (MOOCs).

The MISS4Health project envisages four blocks of activities - curriculum development, content creation, micro-credentials creation and implementation of interactive learning resources.
