The double degree program is a great opportunity to get a diploma from two universities within one study period! Students applying for the double degree program spend part of their studies at Turība University and another part at one of the partner institutions abroad. Currently, cooperation has been concluded with 12 universities in France, Great Britain, Turkey, Spain, Finland, Switzerland, Kazakhstan and Taiwan.

Students, who are willing to participate in the competition for study places in the double degree program, are invited to apply by March 10. In accordance with the clause 2.5. of the Regulations on procedure for studies in the double degree and bilateral exchange programs, the competition is announced for 19 study places in the double degree program for the academic year 2020/2021.

Full time students of the 2nd study years of the professional bachelor’s study program “Tourism and Hospitality Management”, “Business Administration”, “International Communication Management”, “Event Production and Management”, “Marketing and Sales Management” and students of the 1st study years of the professional master’s study program “Business Administration” and “Tourism Strategic Management” are eligible to participate in the competition providing that:

• they are studying “English for special purposes” in the highest level group;
• they have no academic debts for the previous study period,
• they have no outstanding financial obligations to the university,
• the average mark for the previous study period is not less than 7,
• additional criteria in accordance with the clause 2.4.3. of the Regulations on procedure for studies in double degree and bilateral exchange programs might be set.

The evaluation criteria for the competition:

• student’s average mark for the previous study period;
• student’s mark in a foreign langauge;
• additional criteria for students of the Faculty of International Tourism are published in BATIS and posted on the faculty information board.

The study places for the programs in the academic year 2020/2021 are divided among the faculties as follows:

• professional bachelor’s study programs “Business Administration” and “Marketing and Sales Management”- 3 study places for studies at La Rochelle Business School, 2 study places for studies at Cesine Business School, 2 place for studies at Lapland University of Applied Sciences;
• professional bachelor’s study program “Tourism and Hospitality Management” - 2 study places for studies at Ming Chuan University, 3 study places for studies at La Rochelle Business School;
• professional bachelor’s study program “Event Production and Management” 2 study places for studies at University of South Wales;
• professional bachelor’s study program “International Communication Management”- 1 study place for studies at Dogus University;
• professional master’s study program “Business Administration”- 1 study place for studies at La Rochelle Business School;
• professional master’s study program “Tourism Strategic Management”- 1 study place for studies at Y School, 1 study place for studies at Rey Juan Carlos University.
