At the moment, anyone can provide a helping hand to the Ukrainian people by doing so in an organised and coordinated manner:

  • Provide support by donating by visitng -, the Ministry of Defence is cooperating with the charity “”, which has opened a donation account for donations to the Ukrainian people and coordinates the use of the funds donated to provide the support necessary to the Ukrainian armed forces and to meet critical needs;
  • Engage in the voluntary movement Gribu palīdzēt bēgļiem and fill out a questionnaire to see what assistance you are prepared to provide to people from Ukraine who are and will be coming to Latvia while fleeing the war. Questionnaire is available here - You can also get in contact by writing to
  • Find more information on the coordination of aid to Ukrainian residents from the State Fire and Rescue Service on this website - VUGD is cooperating with union “Viegli palīdzēt” in the coordination of goods, exchanging information and if necessary, using existing international platforms for logistical support.
  • In order to coordinate the provision of assistance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia requests the use of the unified platform for Ukrainian support
