Business Technology Institute
In year 2006 Turiba University took the decision for the establishment of a Business Technology Institute (BTI) in order to promote the scientific activity of the university and the overall business competitiveness, to develop its intellectual potential and to fine-tune the study programmes for the achievements in contemporary science.
Today the Business Technology Institute carries out applied research, provides consultancy services, engages in domestic and international research projects and programmes, coordinates various scientific activities within the university, hosts scientific conferences, workshops and lectures as well as publishes the study results and other reference materials.
Involved in the performance of the scientific work additionally are the employees from other university structures and experts from outside. In support of the employees from other university structures, BTI is currently in the process of implementing the following projects:
- Feasibility Study for the Production and Processing of Natural Fibre Plants and Establishment of a Cluster;
- Transferred AURORA Products — New Opportunities for Rural Tourism;
- Eco Building Products: Hemp House to Every Patriot of Latvia;
- Processing of Hemp Seed: Options and Recommendations.
