Two Promotion Papers By Turiba Doctoral Degree Candidates Put Forward For Defence In Law Science (10)
On Thursday, June 13th, the State Scientific Qualifications Committee, acting upon reviews by science experts, decided that the promotion papers by doctoral degree nominees in Law Science (Dr.iur.) Jānis Bramanis and Una Skrastiņa should be put forward for defence and included in the agenda of the Turiba University Promotion Council Meeting to be convened on September 18th of this year. The meeting will take place in the premises of Turiba University, Room 108, at 68 Graudu Street in Riga.
The theme of the promotion paper by the student of the Doctoral Law Study Programme Jānis Bramanis is as follows: ‘Problems of Building Rights Development in Latvia’.
Supervisor for the promotion paper — Dr.iur., Professor Jānis Načisčionis. Scientific advisor — Dr.iur., Associated Professor Ingrīda Veikša. As provided by the amendments adopted by the LR Government to the provisions of ‘Law on Scientific Activity’, since May 3rd, 2011, Turiba University has been delegated the rights of promotion or assigning the Scientific Doctor’s Degree in Law, while since July 31st, 2012, — the rights of promotion or assigning the Scientific Doctor’s Degree in Communications.
