Turiba Will Hold The 14th International Scientific Conference "Creating the Future: Communication, Education, Business" (1219)
With the purpose of formulating the ideas concerning the challenges and perspectives for Latvia in communications, education and business, that would enable this country to successfully advance in its second centenary, Turiba University is holding its 14th International Scientific Conference ‘Creating the Future: Communication, Education, Business’ at its premises in Riga, at 68 Graudu Street, on May 30th, from 10.00 to 17.00.
Communications and public relations experts, entrepreneurs and managers, students, teachers and scientists are welcome to attend the conference!
The conference will be opened by Mr. Daniels Pavļuts, LR Minister of Economics, Mr. Aigars Rostovskis, Chairman of the Turiba University Development Council, Mr. Antons Kiščenko, Rector of Turiba University, and Mr. Andris Pētersons, Dean of the Turiba Public Relations Faculty. Latvian state officials, university professors, researchers and students, guests from the USA, the Netherlands, Italy and Russia are expected to be among the participants of the conference.
The conference agenda includes a plenary session and academic readings; scientist and student sessions during which scientific researches, student researches and projects will be presented; discussions will be held within nine laboratories, where answers will be provided for the issues key for the future of Latvia.
During the plenary session the speech will be given by the President of the Latvian Academy of Sciences Mr. Ojārs Spārītis, Professor Emeritus at the San Hose State University (USA) and the author of the world’s most popular study book ‘Public Relations Strategies and Tactics’, Dr.Phil. Mr. Denis Wilcox (USA), Associated Professor at the Hague University Mr. Barry Verbeck, (the Netherlands), Development Project Manager of the Media Concern Baltic Media Alliance and tutor at the Moscow State University and the Highest School of Economics Mr. Alexey Jefimov (Latvia/Russia), and the Quality Assurance and Development Manager of 77Agency Mr. Carlo Becchi (Italy).
Discussions within the laboratories will be moderated by the trainers from the Concept Group Radošuma pils (Creativity Palace).
The conference is hosted by the Public Relations Faculty of Turiba University in cooperation with the Hague University of Applied Sciences, Employers’ Confederation of Latvia (LDDK), Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), State Chancellery, Latvian Public Relations Association (LASAP), Latvian Association of Business Consultants (LBKA), Latvian Association of Local and Regional Governments (LPS) and Concept Group Creativity Palace.
