Turiba University implements a new international doctoral study program in law (0)
In the 2018/2019 study year Turiba launches an international doctoral study program "Legal Science". The program is implemented in English in cooperation with Kazimieras Simonavicius University in Vilnius, Lithuania.
During the 3-year study program graduates of this program will receive a Doctor's degree in legal sciences (Dr. iur.). Studies take place in the following areas: theory and history of law, civil law, criminal law, national law, international law.
"The advantage is the acquisition of the study program in English. This means not only the knowledge of law at the highest level, but also the ability to improve your legal English language skills. The aspect of international co-operation also means wider experience, which brings more perspectives for graduates," Aivars Endzins- the director of the program highlights the benefits of the program.
During studies it is possible to improve skills to analyze law theory and history, knowledge to pay attention to terminology and development of scientific research in foreign languages, as well as ability to pay attention to topical issues of substantive and procedural rights in the field of constitutional, administrative, criminal and civil law at the national and international level.
