The research carried out by the research center SKDS, in which Latvian entrepreneurs from various sectors were asked to name the most recognized university in the field of business education, shows that Turiba University for the fourth year in a row has been ranked in the TOP 3. 

"Universities have to listen to employers' opinions and demands, as well as follow the development of the labor market and economic trends, only this can facilitate the training of competitive specialists. We have followed this basic law for years, and the result - getting among the three most recognized universities in the Latvian business environment - shows that this direction is correct," emphasized Aldis Baumanis, the Rector and the Chairman of the Board of Turiba University. 

Analyzing sectoral data, the research shows that the industries of  agriculture, forestry and fishery, as well as industries that include other services such as organizations' work, repair of computers, repair of personal and household goods, and various individual services not classified elsewhere, have  mentioned the  Turiba University as the most recognized university.  Overall from 16 universities in the TOP 3 got also the University of Latvia and Riga Technical University. 

In the research, in which participated 750 respondents, enterprises from such industries as manufacturing, construction, trade and service were polled. Companies were  from Riga, Kurzeme, Zemgale, Latgale and Vidzeme. The companies included in the research also represented four groups of employees: 1-9 employees, 10-49 employees, 50-249 employees and 250 and more employees. Interviews with entrepreneurs  were conducted over the telephone and on the Internet between 4 December 2018 and 4 January 2019. Overall, such a survey has been conducted annually since 2015.
