Turiba Signs Cooperation Agreement with Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University (1)
Three days from April 15 to April 17 delegation from Russia, Chamber of Commerce and Industry from Nizhny Novgorod region and Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University visited Turiba University. The purpose of the visits was signing cooperation agreement and discussing further cooperation steps.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the region was represented by the deputy of director-general of Nizhny Novgorod Chamber of Commerce and Industry A. Aņiščenko and councillor of deputy general I. Gadalovs.
Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University was represented by the deputy director of the Mass Communication and Hotel and Tourism Institute E. Zaiceva and director of the Institute of International Relations M. Rihtiks.
Before Easter, on April 17 in the presence of representatives of Nizhny Novgorod delegation, chairman of the Board of Turiba A. Baumanis, representatives of all four Turiba faculties, the signed cooperation agreements were officially exchanged which from the side of Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University were signed by its rector S.M. Dmitrijevs, from Turibas side – by rector J. Načisčionis.
Exchange of cooperation agreement resulted in constructive, friendly exchange of thoughts on the further implementation of particular cooperation agreement, as well as on unifying and distinctive issues in the education systems in Latvia and Russia.As further cooperation opportunities both parties consider exchange with students both in short- and long term, providing opportunities of internships, development of scientific researches and its publications, participating in conferences, organizing guest lecturers of academic staff, as well as establishing contacts of young entrepreneurs of Business incubator of Turiba with similar organizations in Nizhny Novgorod.
