Turiba Signs Cooperation Agreement With China Education Association For International Exchange (7)
On April 22 the ceremonial signing of the Cooperation Agreement between Turiba University and the China Education Association for International Exchange took place in the Latvia–China Business Council.
The China Education Association for International Exchange (hereinafter — Association) was established in 1981 by a resolution of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China upon the initiative of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 1991 the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the PRC assigned the status of a national non-governmental organisation to Association. Association is a non-profit organisation whose mission is the realisation of educational exchanges and cooperation projects between China and other parts of the world for fostering modernisation of China, developing cooperation of Chinese educational organisations with those of other countries, promoting the advancement of education, culture, science and technology, and strengthening understanding and friendship among the peoples of all countries and regions of the world.
The Secretariat of Association has signed cooperation agreements with more than 1000 partner associations in China and 170 educational organisations in more than 50 countries and regions of the world. Association has been implementing projects in cooperation with domestic and overseas educational and scientific research institutions, academic groups, exchange organizations, as well as with enterprises and funds.
The Latvia–China Business Council to which Turiba University is a shareholder and a member of its Supervisory Council, is a non-governmental organisation founded by entrepreneurs for development of trade and export contacts between the two countries.
