Students of the faculty of International Tourism improve knowledge at AHLEI courses (47)
Turiba University’s faculty of International Tourism signed an agreement with AHLEI- American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute in February 2013, thereby launching AHLEI courses for students.
Faculty of International Tourism offered to acquire the programm of “ Arrangements of hospitality service” this year, which is mainly intended for bachelor students and those who are already working in hotel reception services, but want to improve their knowledge.
After successfully passed the final online test, which is estimated by lecturers in the US, participants received a certificate that is recognized and highly valued in the European countries, including Switzerland, and in the US, also in many other countries around the world.
One of the students, which has just acquired a certificate, Julija Krivicka-Linkevica says: “After reading about the opportunity to apply for AHLEI courses I did not know what these courses include, but now after graduating from these courses I can recommend them to everyone. AHLEI courses provide answers to all questions about hotel operation processes that may occur during your studies. In addition to the practical studies, these courses provide not only theoretical knowledge, but also a clear insight into the real operation of the hotel. The interactive part of courses was unexpectedly exciting and interesting. Undeniably, I have to mention the certificate which confirms deeper and bigger knowledge and will give some benefits on the labor market.”
AHLEI courses are organized for students of Turiba University and representatives of industry about topics that are important working in the industry of tourism and hospitality. Studies take place as face to face with expierenced lecturers and also remotely using online access to the AHLEI learning materials for individual studies.
