Students’ Council: Present Your Work In Conference and Receive One-off Scholarship! (119)
Students’ Council of Turiba University in cooperation with the Turiba University Public Relations Faculty, The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Employers’ Confederation of Latvia, Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, State Chancellery, Latvian Public Relations Association, Latvian Association of Business Consultants, Latvian Association of Local and Regional Governments, the Concept Group Radošuma pils (Palace of Creativity) is organising a students’ session within the scope of the 14th Turiba International Scientific Conference ‘Creating the Future: Communication, Education, Business’.
The purpose of this session is to summarise students’ ideas about the challenges and perspectives for Latvia in areas of communication, education and business that would enable us to successfully drive this country forward in its second centenary.
The target group for the session are the students studying communications, public relations, marketing and promotion, business, information technologies, culture, and tourism.
The student session will be held at Turiba University on May 30th, from 13.00 to 14.30.
During this session the students will be presenting their research and projects carried out on issues covering the following areas:
- Information Technologies
- Public Relations
- Environment Protection and Green Thinking
- Public Administration
Student session languages: Latvian, English, and Russian
Presentation time: up to 10 minutes
Registration of topics for presentations: the title of project or research and an annotation, including information about the objective, novelty, and the results achieved in the course of your work (volume of up to 1,500 characters), must be sent to Jānis Gavars, Head of the Academic Direction of Turiba Students’ Council, by May 27th, at the following address: email@example.com. You will receive the confirmation for including of your presentation in the student session of the conference ‘Creating the Future: Communication, Education, Business’ within two days following the receipt of your application.
The best work will be awarded with a one-off scholarship of Ls 100 from Turiba University at the closing of the session.
Evaluation criteria: topicality, the results achieved and the level of presentation of the work, as well as your answers provided for any questions asked.
Benefits for the participants of the student session: participants of the student session take part in the conference ‘Creating the Future: Communication, Education, Business’ free of charge, with conference hand-outs, coffee, lunch and dinner included.
Time and location of the conference: Turiba University, 68 Graudu Street, Riga, May 30th, 2013, from 10.00 to 17.00.
