PhD students of Turiba University are welcomed to register to UNeECC international conference (0)

Turiba University since October 2014 has joined the organization "The University Network of the European Capitals of Culture",  which currently unites 47 universities across Europe. 

The organization is set up to promote new forms of cooperation in the academic and education scope. In addition the organization emphasizes the importance of higher education institutions of providing the status of every Capital of Culture. The University Network of the European Capitals of Culture promotes cooperation between universities in order to develop and transform the regional policy and create new activities in the city and university cooperation. 

Cooperation began in year 2011 when the university's representatives (prof. Ineta Lūka and prof. Jānis Ēriks Niedrītis) spoke at UNeECC  annual conference with a report about significance of culture in business. Turiba University was represented in the years 2012, 2013, 2014 UNeECC scientific conferences. Cooperation continued and in February 2014 Turiba University kindly hosted a UNeECC Board members in the annual meeting of the Board. After joining to UNeECC cooperation opportunities have opened up for our PhD students, which are also being used by participating in events organized by UNeECC. PhD students of university participated in UNeECC conferences in year  2015 and 2016.
