Helen Fielder: The Rule of Law - how compliance encourages investment in Latvia (0)

Starting new year of guest lectures Turiba University invites everyone to the lecture of the practising lawyer and compliance consultant Helen Fielder (Australia) “The Rule of Law - how compliance encourages investment in Latvia”, which will be held on 16th January at 18:00 at Turiba University (Graudu street 68) room 321.

The Rule of Law is not just some fancy concept dreamt up by lawyers or judges. It is a profoundly important principle that directly affects all aspects of society. How its role is perceived by both internal and external stakeholders will impact on its competiveness as a nation.

Helen Fielder: “This lecture will look at some examples to put you in the picture of what I mean by investment based on the Rule of Law. Once you are in that frame, I will not only explain what the principle  means, but I will take you on a journey  to show you why compliance with the principle is important in attracting (or detracting) business investment in Latvia.”

About Helen Fielder:

  • Practising Lawyer and Compliance Consultant, Australia
  • LLB, LLM (University Melb), Grad Cert Property & Planning (UTS, Sydney)
