Aigars Rostovskis is elected as President of Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (7)
Chairman of the Development Council of Turiba University Aigars Rostovskis is elected as President of Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). Aigars Rostovskis will replace the current President of LCCI - Gundars Strautmanis.
When addressing members of LCCI, A. Rostovskis indicated that LCCI will continue to work in the areas of export promotion and improvement of business environment. According to him, LCCI should continue cooperation in the field of export with such public authorities as Investment and Development Agency of Latvia.
Whereas in improvement of business environment the new president invited to prepare reasoned arguments in discussions with government for ministers to make decisions positive for entrepreneurs. “In a result of unfavourable decision we have to be sharp”, emphasized A. Rostovskis.
As another operational priority A. Rostovskis pointed more activity of LCCI in regions.
Aigars Rostovskis is the co-owner of Turiba University and Chairman of the Development Council of Turiba University, Chairman of business education association «Junior Achievement - Young Enterprise Latvija» and member of the Council of Higher Education. Also he occupied positions of LCCI Vice President and LCCI Knowledge and Economic Council.
Chairman of LCCI Council chairs the council meetings and general meeting of the members, as well as organizes and provides work of LCCI to create a development strategy and main directions of the work. Chairman of the Council represents LCCI in the state and local government institutions, other institutions, as well as in international forums, foreign countries, non-governmental, intergovernmental and international, economic and other organizations.
